"Stephanie…when I first met you and you told me that you were a design consultant I thought “oh wow, that’s cool”, but then you let your Feng Shui flag fly and I thought “OK, can someone get me a refill on this drink?”

I knew a little about Feng Shui but it all seemed like crazy stuff…change your life by putting coins on a mirror, moving furniture to clear pathways for energy to flow or some other kind of witchcraft like that, but you at least looked like a good witch so I listened. I could see how excited you were about it so I got another drink refill and let you talk me into messing with my life via furniture moving and strategic placement of proper shapes and elements. [Huh?] It didn’t really take a lot to convince me to consider being on TV but I really didn’t think any of this could affect my life much.

I’m still a bit skeptical that painting my room or cleaning up other parts of my house could change me but I feel more confident, but I do feel it. It could just be momentum after a drastic change, it could be that I got the wake up call that I needed to be more aggressive when I meet someone. I’m not sure what “it” is but it’s something. And to be honest, you might have revved things up TOO much! In the last couple of months I’ve been hit on by everyone! Women, men...you name it! What's going on? Is there a dimmer switch for this thing that you didn’t tell me about?

Just a week after the room is redone I met a woman at a friend’s wedding. Wow, that was fast! The only problem is she lived on the west coast. So that fizzled out...but people do seem to be reacting to me differently, approaching me out of the blue to compliment me. In the past I’ve always felt like I blended into the woodwork—now I’m a lot closer to center stage! I’ve even met someone very special that I really like and she would probably say the same right back. Mojo rising? More important is the fact that we share so many things in common and it’s a much healthier relationship than I’ve found in over a DECADE!

I still think you’re a bit of a nut but I see the genuine excitement in you when you talk about helping people and really affecting change in their lives and I’m so glad I met you!

"My home isn’t a sanctuary, and it should be. It constricts, frustrates, and depresses me. As a coaching client of Stephanie’s, I wanted to take advantage of her Feng Shui skills as part of my coaching package. We scheduled several virtual consultations over the phone as I live too far away for her to come to my home. In anticipation of her first call, I sent her digital pictures of all the rooms in my house as well as a hand drawn floor plan. One of the reasons why I've found Feng Shui inconvenient was that more traditional methods don't match our modern lifestyles. We New Yorker's live in randomly-placed and awkwardly shaped apartments so Compass School feng shui didn't agree with my personal taste.
